Product Features
• This product is sterilized with ethylene oxide and should be sterile.
• An outer tube diameter of 1.8mm is suitable for endoscopes with a minimum forceps channel of 2.0mm; an outer tube diameter of 2.4mm is suitable for endoscopes with a minimum forceps channel of 2.8mm.
Main Components
The disposable cytology brush (hereinafter referred to as the cytology brush) consists of a brush head, outer tube, slip ring, booster tube, and wristband.
Scope of Application
For clinical endoscopic cytology sample collection.
Function
• Wristband and slip ring: These are the operating parts. When they are close together, the brush head extends out of the outer tube; conversely, the brush head retracts into the outer tube.
• Outer tube: The insertion portion of the product into the endoscope.
• Booster tube: Transmits movement of the operating part to the brush head.
• Brush head: The active area for collecting cell samples
Instructions
• After unsealing, confirm that the outer tube of the product is free of visible creases, bends, or breaks;
• Confirm that the bristles on the brush head are free of damage;
• Under endoscopic monitoring, insert the cytology brush through the forceps of the endoscope. Insert the brush head into the lesion or suspected lesion, repeatedly scrub the lesion and its surrounding area, then retract the brush head into the outer tube. Remove the cytology brush from the endoscope and place the sample on a glass slide to prepare a cytology slide for case analysis.
